First pre-medical aid:

The main objectives of the study discipline “First pre-medical aid” are: to develop students’ knowledge and skills for emergency assistance in case of wounds and bleeding, burns, frostbite, sprains and fractures, traumatic brain injury, chest injuries, shock, kolapse, terminal conditions, acute surgical infection, urgent conditions in patients of surgical and therapeutical diseases, poisoning, animal bites, sudden birth. As a result of studying the discipline, students gain knowledge about the causes and the major clinical manifestations of various emergency conditions, the algorithm providing first pre-medical aid at various emergency conditions and practical skills to implement care for seriously ill (holding leather processing, mouth, eyes, nostrils, ears, perineum, prevent bedsores, etc., feeding ill), the imposition of different kinds of bandages, aseptic dressings, implementing the interim stop bleeding, holding transport immobilization using standard splint and of available tools, assess the functional status of the patient (measurement of blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, etc.)., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, provide first pre-medical aid for angina, myocardial infarction, seizures bronchial asthma, stroke, hyper-and hypoglycemic coma, epilepsy attack, shock, poisoning, insect bites and animals, sudden birth, etc.

Pharmacotherapy with Pharmacokinetics:

The main objectives of in studying subjects «Pharmacotherapy with pharmacokinetics» are: formation of students ‘knowledge of basic pharmacokinetic processes, the interaction of drugs with each other, etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations of common diseases, principles of rational pharmacotherapy of various diseases, and to develop in the students’ abilities and skills in charting a rational and safe drug therapy of various diseases, determine the optimal combination of drugs during pharmacotherapy. As a result of studying the discipline, students get knowledge about basic pharmacokinetic processes, the interaction of drugs with each other, etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations of common diseases, principles of rational pharmacotherapy of various diseases and be able to make the scheme efficient and safe drug therapy of various diseases, to determine the optimal combination of drugs in conduct of pharmacotherapy.
